Lead Your Team to Victory

Dominate the opposition with the Nerf Dart Tag Swarmfire, the ultimate blaster for Nerf's newest action sport, Dart Tag. The Swarmfire blaster is designed for Dart Tag team play, so among other Dart Tag options, you can lead your team to victory. Command the playing field with an overwhelming, whistling dart swarm that will keep the competition running for cover.

High-Speed, High-Intensity Play

Battery power eliminates the traditional need to pump the blaster, allowing players to direct their attention toward game strategy. Hold down the trigger for motorized, full-auto blasting with a rotating barrel that holds up to 20 darts at a time. Single darts can be fired for a more calculated firing style. A stock allows the blaster to rest comfortably against players' shoulders and can be removed for high mobility attacks.

Our testers were happy to find that the battery power made firing easier and more efficient. The blaster was also easy to carry when moving around during team play. Our testers did find that, during entire rounds of continuous fire, the occasional dart dislodged from the barrel before it could be fired, but this was a rare exception.

What's in the Box

Blaster, 20 Dart Tag darts, Dart Tag rules, and assembly instructions.

This is a really nice looking gun. Everyone I show it to are impressed by its futuristic-Robotech-Anime-Halo style design. The range is nothing to brag about. The worse shots go 16-20 feet. The majority go between 20-25 feet. 25 feet seems to be the tops but rare. It does fire very rapidly, seemingly slightly faster than the Stampede. The max capacity is 20 darts (one reviewer said 30 but that's incorrect). It can be modified to use any darts. It has a really cool feel to it, but like other reviewers have said, it is very front heavy (unlike the Stampede that's more back heavy which allows you to cradle it under one arm). It requires two hands for sure and can easily tire out your wrist from holding it. May take some getting use to. The shoulder stock helps a lot with balance. The color is not the typical yellow found in previous guns. It has a slightly darker tone which gives it a nicer look as well. Overall, it's a fun gun. The only thing I would've liked differently... 4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Easy but heavy, November 10, 2011

My son is 4 and couldn't use the nerf guns that have to be cocked because of his little hands so I got this primarily because it is fully automatic. He loves it he likes the sounds and the rapid fire. The only flaws so far are the fact that it takes 6 C batteries and that it is quite heavy. He will get used to the heavy part because it is so much fun to shoot daddy in the shower, but I recommend rechargeable batteries or you will tripple the cost of the gun in a week. He also loves that the darts stick to his stuffed toys so he can keep track of his kills.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Ok, I'm a little mature for this but - This is a great Nerf Gun. Not to mention the tag darts fly accurately for 20 feet. But you need to have fresh batteries to do that.

My son and I have used the suction cup darts in this gun and had a really good time blasting the TV screen when people come on that we don't like. Hows that for a critic?

The only thing I would warn parents about is the darts themselves, the Velcro tips are abrasive, a little hard and can scratch bare skin pretty good. The neighbor kid stopped by, didn't realize it was a battery powered gun, and before he even knew it, he had shot 5 darts and one of them grazed my son's eye area and scratched him up for a few days. This is going to be true for any of the guns that shoot tag darts and eye protection is a definite must along with the receiver vests.
